Aerial Hoop / Lyra

Lyra (aka Aerial Hoop) is a circular metal apparatus suspended in the air. You will learn how to create beautiful shapes below, inside and above the apparatus. You will also learn various techniques to enter and exit the hoop safely.

If you have some experience in Lyra, please contact us or inquire directly with our Lyra instructor to have your level assessed accurately.

  • If you have never taken Aerial Hoop and are new to other aerial apparatus, or if you want to polish your techniques and skills, this class is for you. Your instructor will begin class by leading you through a series of strength and conditioning exercises that will help prepare you to later on transition into the air. After that, you will learn a sequence of tricks and transitions on this Aerial Hoop.

    Class content: Focused warm up, conditioning exercises, basic techniques such as mount and dismount, front balance, back balance, knee hangs, inversion, cool down.

Proper attire: Long sleeve top and long leggings. No jewelry is allowed on hands and body during this class. Long sharp nails are okay on this apparatus
